Different Categories of MBA Course in India

There is no question why one is not going to have best and reputed job after completing his MBA in India. However, one should understand that in India there are many colleges which are executing regular management degree courses. One should understand that everyone cannot get an admission on the top level colleges in India. Now, the question comes that are these institutes are the right destination. The answer is ‘yes’ if you have dedicated yourself for management studies. Companies come here also for placement but they only take those students who have achieved good marks both in their regular session as well as in their practical session. As these colleges do not stand in front of any top level college so at many times students have to initiate themselves at many places such as case studies etc. So, that one can have proper exposure and knowledge at the time of placement.
Now, if one wants to maintain a quality in his life then mba colleges in india has to be their first choice. Even lowest college try its level best to provide the entire infrastructure which the top level is providing in order to maintain the competition in the market. So, if one is completing his MBA course from Bangalore then the chance of getting good opportunities are more in comparison to other metro and non-metro cities of India. You should thoroughly understand that the talent of becoming a good management person lies inside you only so you must not always depend upon the college only but also try to participate in all the activities so that your talent could come in front of everyone which is in return going to provide you some good opportunities.
So, these institutes are gaining popularity up to the maximum level. However, when it comes to fees of these institutes then fees are very high and medium. However, medium fees are of government colleges. So, one must fully enquire that the institute in which one is planning to take the admission is compatible for him from all sides or not. However, these institutes also run a scholarship program So students are shortlisted in that.
There are many types of MBA Courses which are as follows-
    ·   Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
    ·   Online MBA Course.
    ·   Part time MBA Course.
    ·   Global MBA Course.
All the above mentioned courses are well recognized in all over the world. However, one must go through certain steps before taking an admission. For example, PGDBM is meant for those people who are already in job and want to add some managerial qualification for the sake of promotion. Online MBA is for those people who cannot regularly visit the study center. Part time or correspondence MBA is for those people who cannot afford high fees.

How to Choose the Right MBA

When it comes to choosing the right management program, students often face the confusion of choosing either a masters or an MBA program.

    • MBA programs typically demand work experience of 5 or 6 years. These are generally for those who are already in a management position, with a team working under them, and are looking to climb up the corporate ladder. For individuals who fall under this category who know how to manage budgets and people, MBA programs are the right study option.
    • The Masters in Management, however, is for freshers and students with no experience in the field. Generally for those who have completed an undergraduate degree and have a year or two  of experience, the Masters in Management is the right choice. This will give them ground standing in the area he chooses and is more specific and technical in nature. On completion, students may work in senior positions but these won’t fetch them promotions to top managerial roles. For reaching these kind of positions,  MBA is required. After completion of the masters, students are suggested to work and acquire 4- 5 years of experience and then go for an MBA program.
There are so many things to consider when choosing your MBA programme. Criteria vary in importance depending on where you are in your life: a corporate executive with a wealth of experience, an entrepreneur, a creative freelancer, a parent, 25 years old, 40 years old, where you live, your financial situation, to mention but a few variables. If your goal is to advance your career tangibly with an MBA, you are definitely on the right track. Demand for a business degree is greater than ever in top corporate circles and in an increasing number of industries. The source of your MBA is crucial, so aiming as high as you can afford is probably the best advice possible. To this end, you might wish to consult the well established rankings of the world’s top MBA programmes, compiled by the likes of The Economist, The Financial Times and Forbes. Your search should not stop with the rankings, though. To make the very best choice for you, you need to understand why you want to pursue an MBA degree and what you expect to happen afterwards. Here are seven of the most common considerations when taking an MBA:
    1. Kick-start your career
Having an MBA degree in your 20s or early 30s, before you have carved too deep a career, is a great way to utilise your sharp and youthful brain, as well as your still lavish amount of free time. If you are targeting the corporate world to start and develop your career, business school is the right place for you.
    2. Change the course of your career
This is the most common reason why people choose to take on an MBA. It has indeed been shown to be an almost foolproof strategy, as more often than not a business degree provides a number of assets in that direction: it allows you to immerse yourself for one or two years in a totally new environment where you think, sleep, dream, and devise strategies for your new field of expertise, 24/7. You will have access to case studies to prepare for your new career, sometimes more useful than one or two years of actual experience in the field. If you choose a top school, you will be visible to business scouts as soon as you have completed half of your studies. Surveys show that the top business school alumni manage to secure a job before the end of their studies. You may want to look at some career placement statistics available online as well as from the various schools, statistics that provide information on the salary prospects of MBA graduates, as well as the chances of finding a job within certain periods of time both before and after graduation. Such information is usually readily available either on the schools’ websites or from their admission offices. Among other valuable information, you will also be able to see how many graduates have found placements within your industry of interest.
    3. Become business savvy
Being successful in business is dependent on many things, including good luck. Still, there are some very technical and hands-on techniques that are crucial and usually take years of experience and bitter trial-and-error to muster. An MBA programme really can spare you a load of headaches in that department. Learning from others’ successes and mistakes is valuable beyond calculation. Think of it as precious advice from very fancy lawyers, bankers and financial advisors. Programmes based on case studies offer just that: the opportunity to tap into the hard-earned success (or failure, for that matter) stories of hundreds before you who have left their mark on the world of business. Again, if you are currently practising in the humanitarian field, you are teacher, a lawyer, a creative type, or hold a less commercial position within a very commercial company, etc., it is only natural that you might be lacking purely business skills. Then an MBA is right for you. Make a practical choice: select a programme where you will be able to achieve just those skills. You need results more than you need student vibe and pretty campuses. Go and learn how business really is made, now.

    4. Expand your network
Joining an MBA programme, you will be spending your busy days with other ambitious and intense personalities who may end up being your business partners, competitors, employers, lawyers, accountants, suppliers, etc. They in turn may provide you with access to their own networks of valuable individuals. A Full-time MBA will be the best time in your life to build some of your most enduring and valuable contacts in business as well as some of your best friendships. In order to make the most of the programme then, you need to think of a good location and an appropriate size. If you are in the banking sector, then focusing on an MBA in a bank-intense region would be key, as ultimately it would attract similar types who could form a strong, consistent and prolific network. It would hardly be practical to join a school known for its successes in the pharmaceutical industry.

    5. Last but not least: “To thine ownself be true”. (Shakespeare)
You are talking of one or two years of your life and your youth. Make sure you use them well. Follow your instincts and choose a place that you feel will suit you. If you wish to challenge yourself and test your limits, that’s fantastic. Go for it. If not however, don’t go counter to yourself. If you are the quiet, focused type, maybe a smaller programme with a more intimate environment would be a better fit for you. If you are expansive and larger than life, make sure your school reflects that too. Be pro-active and study your options. May this be the most informed decision of your life. It is well worth the effort.

    MBA in India,why?

MBA in India/MBA in Outside India: Which is more value for money?

Most Indian MBA aspirants have this question in their mind – Should I do my MBA from an Indian business school or do I look for MBA programs abroad in the USA or Europe. This article helps you understand the pros and cons of an Indian MBA vs US MBA and decide which MBA degree will be better for you based on your long terms goal, and lastly which will provide a better ROI.

    Foreign MBA
An MBA from a foreign university is very helpful in understanding business from an international perspective. This is very advantageous if you want to work abroad after your graduation. Also, most foreign b-schools tend to have a large diversity in their student class so you benefit from understanding different cultural viewpoints and perspectives. The foreign MBA colleges will also have better infrastructure and better professors. The post-degree pay package of an US or European MBA will be higher than an Indian MBA because of the currency difference.
However, a foreign MBA is also more expensive and it may take more time to recover the fees of the business degree, especially if you are opting for a US MBA. More importantly, the Indian market functions very differently than the US and European markets, hence the things you will learn in a foreign B-School will be less applicable to India. Hence, if you want to work in India after your MBA, a foreign MBA is less preferable.

    Indian MBA
An Indian MBA will help you gain business related knowledge pertinent to the Indian market. An Indian MBA will be significantly cheaper and you will be able to pay back your student loan much faster. If you wish to work in India after your degree, this is preferred from both knowledge as well as economical perspectives.
Around 70% of the curriculum in an Indian MBA degree course will be common to its foreign counterparts, however the way the curriculum is delivered and the facilities to support learning will be below par (unless you are at one of the IIMs). The post-degree salary of an Indian MBA will be lower than an US MBA. Also, if you wish to work abroad, an Indian MBA will be disadvantageous since they would prefer students from their own B-Schools.

    Importance of College Education

Why it is important to go to college

During their high school career, students may begin to question the importance of a college education. They might find themselves asking, “Why is it important to go to college?” The answer is that, more than ever, attending college provides opportunities for graduates which are not as widespread to those who have not received a higher education.
For many high school students, being able to immediately generate an income after graduation is an appealing thought. They may also be repelled by the rising cost of tuition, and while it is true that a higher education may be one of the largest expenses you will ever face, the importance of a college education has become quite evident in terms of earning potential within today’s economy.

Why Should You go to College?
One important answer to this question is more opportunity. As opposed to generations of the past, high school graduates today are unable to obtain the number of high-paying jobs that were once available. The U.S. has been transformed from a manufacturing-based economy to an economy based on knowledge, and the importance of a college education today can be compared to that of a high school education forty years ago. It serves as the gateway to better options and more opportunity.
There are additional reasons as to why it is important to go to college. When students experience a post secondary education, they have the opportunity to read books and listen to the lectures of top experts in their fields. This stimulation encourages students to think, ask questions, and explore new ideas, which allows for additional growth and development and provides college graduates with an edge in the job market over those who have not experienced a higher education.
The importance of a college education is also accentuated because of the opportunity to gain valuable resources during your tenure. The more connections which are collected during your college career, the more options you will have when you begin your job search. Once you have ended your job search and have started your career, however, the importance of a college education has not been exhausted. Having a college degree often provides for greater promotion opportunity.
So, why should you go to college? The reasoning does not begin and end with the job aspect. A good education is beneficial from many different viewpoints, and while the importance of a college education is quite evident for many high school students, what is often not as clear is how they will pay for that education.
    Funding Your College Education
Although the colleges and universities of today carry a heavy price tag, it is of great importance not to let that discourage you from obtaining a college education. While the cost of tuition continues to rise, so too does the number of available financial aid options. Below we will explain why it is important to explore these options before you go to college and the large payoff they often provide.
From local and federal options, to categorical and corporate options, college-bound students have a variety opportunities worth exploring when attempting to obtain financial aid. A common misrepresentation of financial aid packages (e.g. scholarships, grants, loans, work study programs) is that they provides funding for an entire college education. The reality is that most of these packages are smaller and it may take several of them to add up. This is why it is important to explore all of your options before you go to college:
    • Local options—The people of your own community fully understand the importance of a college education, which is why organizations such as the American Legion, the Rotary Club, the Jaycees, and Boosters chapters offer scholarships for high school students in the area. These organizations are often overlooked and serve as a great resource due to the fact that they have far less competition than national awards. Start your local search by visiting your high school’s career options to see what’s available.
    • Federal options—The federal government is also well aware of the importance of a college education, which is why they award more financial aid to college-bound students than any other resource. The most important step in obtaining federal aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Follow this link for more information on filing the FAFSA for financial aid.
    • Merit-based options—Merit scholarships are awarded to students based on academic or athletic abilities, as well as categories such as ethnicity, religious affiliation, club membership, interests, talent or career plans. • Corporate options—Corporations are another resource who understand the vast importance of a college education. Every year, corporations ranging from Target to Coca-Cola offer financial aid to thousands of college-bound students. A great way to start your corporate scholarship search is with you or your spouse’s company. Often times, organizations will award the children of employees with scholarships or grants.
